Our History

What is OVO and when was it born?
OVO is an Art Design brand born from the synergy of Maurizio Orrico and Enrica Vulcano.
Even before having a name, it comes to life, as an idea and almost for fun, from experiments on the oxidation of metals carried out in relation to Maurizio's artistic research, and transported to the world of design thanks to the intuition of Enrica: we are in May 2018.
OVO's first official work is the table setting created for LIBERI DENTRO, The Last Supper - Homage to Leonardo Da Vinci, a curated art and social design project by Giacinto Di Pietrantonio, which involved great artists and designers. Since 2021, OVO has started to participate in various trade shows such as Maison et Object, Ambiente Frankfurt and Find Singapore Asia.

Maurizio Orrico is a visual artist: after his pictorial debut, he focuses on analogue and digital photography and on the use of other expressive means such as sculpture, installation and video art. He is one of the founding members of the PSL (Multisensory Laboratory), a laboratory that has started a continuous research work on "presentation techniques", defined as an enlargement of the sensory picture or spectrum.
During his career he participated in the Shanghai Expo, at the 11th Architecture Biennale and at the 54th Venice Biennale of Art. Her works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and are now in public and private spaces, both in Italy and abroad.
Enrica Vulcano, graduated in design from NABA, the New Academy of Fine Arts, she soon came into contact with Maurizio becoming his assistant and collaborator, following him in the realization of numerous projects.
The two finally decided to combine their energies to give life to OVO, a perfect synthesis between art and design.
